2 months ago | 5 Views
Friends star Lisa Kudrow and Everybody loves Raymond’s Ray Romano unite for an eight-episode dark comedy series No Good Deed, as a couple looking to sell their Los Angeles home. Three families have their sight set firmly on owning the house, which has a ‘dark vibe’ to it. Joining Kudrow and Romano are Linda Cardinelli, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Paris, Abbi Jacobson, Poppy Liu, Denis Leary and O-T Fabgenie, among others.
No Good Deed, according to the announcement teaser that came out, will begin streaming on Netflix from December 12. Created by Liz Feldman of Dead to Me fame, No Good Deed has Kudrow and Romano as Lydia and Paul, who’ve put their house on the market and then snoop on the prospective buyers during the open house. The 1920 Spanish style villa has multiple potential buyers, all of who believe that the abode is the solution to all their problems. But is it really?
According to the official logline of the series, Paul and Lydia try their best to hide their home’s long-time secrets, only to then realize that it may just be better to face it. Each episode in the show will be around 30 minutes long.
In the official note about the show, creator Liz Feldman, writes that No Good Deed was inspired by many late nights during the early pandemic maniacally searching Zillow listings for a way out of her house. "I’m endlessly grateful to Netflix for being such a supportive creative home and for continuing to allow me to turn my crippling anxiety into entertainment," she added.
