When Alphonse Puthren announced retirement from films

In October 2023, Alphonse Puthren made a significant announcement on his official Facebook page regarding his retirement from filmmaking. This news came as a surprise to many fans who had been anticipating the announcement of his next project. Previously, the acclaimed director was set to collaborate with Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara on a musical drama entitled Paattu. However, this project, which was intended to commence production following the release of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Gold, has now been discontinued.

Nivin Pauly’s work front

The renowned actor is preparing to make his debut on an OTT platform shortly, with the forthcoming Disney+ Hotstar series named Pharma. Nivin Pauly is set to return to cinemas with the anticipated Ram-directed film, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu, which is expected to be released in theatres by the summer of 2025. Additionally, the actor will collaborate once more with director Abrid Shine for the sequel to their successful project, Action Hero Biju. Furthermore, he is joining forces with director Aryan Ramani Girijavallabhan for an action-oriented film.
