Appudo Ippudo Eppudo is Nikhil Siddhartha's latest film, which few people knew was even in production. Audiences were surprised to learn that the film was ready for release, and it features Rukmini Vasanth, a popular Kannada actress, making her debut.

Appudo Ippudo Eppudo's latest two days collections

The film had completed its shoot, but there were no takers for a theatrical release. Finally, Sudheer Varma took the initiative and released it on November 8, 2024. Since the team lacked confidence in the film, they didn't promote it in the media, leading to a quiet release of this romantic drama.

Appudo Ippudo Eppudo performed poorly, wrapping up with just two days in theaters and failing to reach Rs 1 crore at the box office. On its first day, it made only Rs 30 lakhs, and on the second day, a slightly improved Rs 40 lakhs, totaling Rs 70 lakhs over two days.

This is the lowest box-office collection ever for a Nikhil Siddhartha film, which is surprising as even films with entirely new casts often perform better. The film has already been removed from 90% of theaters and will be pulled from remaining screens by Monday.

Rukmini Vasanth, known for her role in Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati, was underutilized in this film, and her role didn’t add much to the narrative. Directed by Sudheer Varma, this is his fourth consecutive flop at the box office, signaling a need for a strong comeback if he wishes to remain competitive.

Nikhil, on his part, appears unperturbed and has distanced himself from the film, likely wishing to move on quickly. The digital rights have been secured by Amazon, with reports indicating that it will be available on OTT just two weeks after its release. Produced by BVSN Prasad, the film was shot entirely in London. Stay tuned for further updates on this project.
