In a surprising turn of events, the filmmakers announced that Sankranthiki Vasthunam will first premiere on television before its OTT debut.

This decision is quite unconventional, as recent trends have favoured OTT releases prior to television premieres. Nevertheless, the filmmakers have reached an agreement with Zee, allowing the television version to air first, followed by the OTT release two weeks later. This unique strategy has not been seen before, generating curiosity among audiences regarding its potential effects.
