Indian cinema is going through a cool trend where classic films are making a comeback in theaters. Fans are loving this chance to relive their favorite flicks from yesteryears. Movies like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai hit the big screen again in January 2025. In a recent chat with OTTplay, Neil Nitin Mukesh shared his hope to see his debut Hindi movie, Johnny Gaddaar, back in theaters.

Neil shared with us that he has quite a few films he’d love to see back on the big screen.

He said, "If my first film, Johnny Gaddaar, were to be re-released, it would be amazing to see how it’s gained a cult following and how fans are still so passionate about it. It didn’t really get the recognition it deserved at the box office when it first came out. Experiencing that film again in theaters would definitely bring back some great memories."

The actor mentioned, "There are plenty of my movies that should hit the screens again. I really want to see New York back out there. And for sure, Johnny Gaddaar is one of those films that deserves another chance."

Neil Nitin Mukesh recently chatted about his new movie, Hisaab Barabar. He shared his initial impressions of the film's plot, saying, "The script really got me thinking; it’s super exciting and well-written. Plus, it’s grounded in the everyday life of an average person, with a bit of a comedic twist. That’s what I found really appealing about it."
