Director Anil Ravipudi scored one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, raking in over Rs 300 crore at the box office. Riding this wave of success, he’s now landed an amazing chance to direct megastar Chiranjeevi in another major film.

Nayanthara is in discussions for Chiranjeevi's upcoming project

Aishwarya Rajesh's name was in the spotlight, but that turned out to be false. Now, there's buzz in the film industry about the producers reaching out to Nayanthara.

A source close to the production team revealed that they did indeed approach Nayanthara to star opposite Chiranjeevi, but she surprised them by asking for a staggering Rs 18 crore as her fee. This hefty price tag took the makers by surprise, prompting them to explore other options, according to the insider.

Nayanthara is a huge star, and Chiranjeevi really likes her. He even recommended her for the lead female role in the film. However, the producers now have to search for a different option. Not long ago, there were also whispers that Parineeti Chopra, known for Uunchai and Jabariya Jodi, was considered for the movie, but that turned out to be just a rumor.

Anil Ravipudi is on the hunt for a talented actress who can nail comedy, which is why he's eyeing a big star to pair up with Chiranjeevi. The female lead has a wild role in this movie too. Sahu Garapati and Chiranjeevi's daughter, Sushmita Konidela, are teaming up to produce this film on a grand scale.
