ZEE5 is set to release a gripping biopic crime thriller called Costao. Featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the main character, the story follows a customs officer named Costao Fernandes, who takes on a gold smuggling operation in Goa during the 1990s. The film is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform on May 1, and you can catch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription. Before the launch, Nawazuddin revealed what drew him to his role as Costao Fernandes.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is gearing up to play Costao Fernandes in the biopic, Costao. In a chat with Mid-Day, he shared what drew him to the role, saying, "He has a great sense of humor, but there's a deeper story behind that laughter. It was fascinating to dive into that." He also expressed admiration for the officer's bravery and felt touched by his struggles against a corrupt system.

The more I learn, the more I get nervous about acting since there are endless possibilities to explore. There might be a thousand ways to approach a scene, and I find the journey of discovering them really fascinating," he said.
