Khalid Rahman on Alappuzha Gymkhana plot
Khalid Rahman serves as the director of Alappuzha Gymkhana, having previously directed Tovino Thomas’ Thallumaala, which gained significant popularity among young audiences due to its captivating music and stylish dance sequences. Consequently, there are high expectations for this film, especially as it brings together Naslen, who enjoys a substantial fan base, and Khalid Rahman, in what is anticipated to be a sports comedy.
In a prior interview with Cue Studio, the director of Thallumaala mentioned that the storyline of Alappuzha Gymkhana centres on a group of young individuals who aim to participate in a state-level sports competition after not succeeding in their plus-two examinations. They choose to engage in boxing, as the additional marks could facilitate their college admissions.
Khalid, despite his background in boxing, emphasized that the film is intended to be a light-hearted comedy, steering clear of the graphic violence often seen in recent action films like Marco.
