Mollywood is gearing up for an exciting start to 2025 with a bunch of films set to drop in January, including Identity featuring Tovino Thomas and Trisha Krishnan. Now, another Malayalam flick, Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal, has revealed its release date, adding to the lineup of movies coming to theaters next month.

Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal, featuring Joju George and Suraj Venjaramoodu, is gearing up for its theatrical release on January 16, 2025. Directed and written by Sharan Venugopal, this film looks like a heartfelt family drama. The title means "Narayani’s three sons," and it will tell their story. Set in a village, the plot centers around an ancestral home and the family dynamics within it. The story kicks off when the youngest son, who had been estranged from the family for a while, makes his way back home.

Alencier Lopez is set to take on an important role in the movie, joining a cast that includes Sajitha Madathil, Sarasa Balussery, Thomas Mathew, and Garggi Ananthan.

The film is being produced by Joby John Thadathil under the Goodwill Entertainments label, which previously supported the hit film Kishkindha Kaandam. That movie featured Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, and Vijayaraghavan in leading roles and received a lot of love from both critics and audiences, making it a box office hit.

Joju George's Pani

Joju George, the main star of Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal, was recently in Pani, which was also his first time directing. He not only acted in it but also penned the script for this action thriller, and it did pretty well at the box office. While Pani hasn't hit any streaming platforms yet, there are rumors that it might drop on SonyLIV on December 20. 

Suraj Venjaramoodu has another film coming out called ED - Extra Decent, hitting theaters on January 10, 2025. This comedy-drama is being co-produced by Suraj and Listin Stephen through their production companies, Vilasini Cinemas and Magic Frames.
