Netflix has released the trailer for Nadaaniyan, introducing Ibrahim Ali Khan, the son of Saif Ali Khan, in his debut role as a college student who unexpectedly becomes involved in a complex romantic relationship with Khushi Kapoor's character.

The trailer was shared by the streaming service on Saturday via social media platforms. It provides a preview of the intricate love story between the main characters. Spanning two minutes, the trailer features Ibrahim Ali Khan as Arjun Mehta, an ambitious young man aspiring to study law and secure a successful career. Khushi Kapoor portrays Pia Jai Singh, a young woman who values love above her personal ambitions.

Their connection develops in an unconventional manner, with Pia compensating Arjun ₹25,000 weekly to pose as her boyfriend. As they navigate the complexities of their relationship, they become increasingly enmeshed in a narrative filled with drama, passion, and unforeseen emotions. The film delves into themes of romance, ambition, familial dynamics, and chaos.

Reflecting on her experience directing her first film, Shauna Gautam states, “Directing Nadaaniyan has been an exceptionally meaningful journey for me, particularly as my inaugural project. This narrative holds a special place in my heart, encapsulating the innocence and often unexpected nature of first love. Collaborating with Karan sir and Dharmatic Entertainment has been a dream come true, and their support has been crucial in realizing this vision. Working with such a talented cast, especially Ibrahim in his debut performance, has been a true delight.”

Regarding the film's premise, it is described as follows: “The story centers on Pia, a South Delhi girl intent on crafting her ideal love story, and Arjun, a middle-class overachiever aiming to become the captain of the debate team. Their lives intersect when Pia enlists Arjun in a transactional arrangement—having him pose as her boyfriend to create a romantic illusion. However, complications arise as genuine feelings emerge, leading the pair to question whether love can truly be orchestrated.”

The cast of the film includes Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj in significant roles. Directed by Shauna Gautam, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra through Dharmatic Entertainment. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on March 7.
