Kay Kay Menon is gearing up for the release of his upcoming web series Murshid. He will be seen as a gangster also known as 'Bombay ka sultan.' Adding more to the anticipation, the makers of the series dropped the official trailer on ZEE5 on August 20. In the video, we see Kay Kay's character is touted as the 'OG bhai'.

A while ago, the makers released the trailer of Murshid. In the clip, Kay Kay Menon aka 'Bombay ka sultan' looks commendable as he returns with his force. He can be introduced as 'Mafia Don, Murshid Pathan.' 

Menon showcases his action skills as he uses a gun to take revenge. He can be heard saying, "Farid, forget Junaid, otherwise I will destroy you." Murshid is an 'honest man' who once again took up the gun to destroy all the odds. Sharing the trailer, they captioned it, "Dushmanon ke liye bura waqt bankar, 20 saal baad, Bambai ka raja - Murshid Pathan apni takht par laut raha hai!"

Cast of Murshid 

Apart from Kay Kay Menon, his co-star Tanuj Virwani will be seen playing a tough cop in the series. The actor recently took to his IG account and shared his character poster.

The series also stars Vedika Bhandari, Anang Desai, Zakir Hussain, and others in pivotal roles. Murshid will start streaming on ZEE5 on August 30, 2024. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium.

Kay Kay Menon's other OTT project

Menon's series Shekhar Home was released on JioCinema a few days ago. During the show's promotions, OTTplay has an exclusive interview with the actor . In conversation with us, Kay Kay revealed the thing that attracted him to doing the series. The actor recalled reading the script and realizing that Shekhar Home is a different world altogether.

"It is the world of the 1990s, when there was no technology in terms of telecommunication. That is the world we are talking about. It is set in the sleepy town of Lonpur. I have seen these kinds of towns in my extreme childhood," he said.
