Kay Kay Menon is all set for an upcoming gangster drama titled 'Murshid'. The show is set in Mumbai's underworld where a retired don Murshid Pathan (Kay Kay) is forcefully dragged back into the gangster life that he thought he had left behind. He takes this step when his former rival Farid, played by Zakir Hussain implicates Murshid's son in a hazardous scheme.

To keep the buzz around the show, the makers are making sure to unveil new posters and promos that are keeping the viewers hooked to the show. Today, on August 26, the makers released a new poster featuring Zakir Hussain, who is playing the parallel lead along with Menon. The poster has a text written on it "Once a right-and, now a competitor". 

Sharing the poster, ZEE5 captioned it: "20 saal pehle jo dost tha, ab hai sabse bada dushman! Kya rang layegi yeh ranjish? #Murshid premieres 30th August, only on #ZEE5"

The trailer of the film was released a few days ago and has already drawn attention as Kay Kay Menon's deadly gangster in the underworld looks convincing. Besides Kay Kay Menon and Zakir Hussain, the gangster drama also stars Tanuj Virvani and Rajesh Shringarpure. The show is directed by Shravan Tiwari. The show is set to release on ZEE5 from August 30. You can also watch it on OTTplay Premium with a subscription. Produced by Sandip Patel and Sachin Bansal under the banner of Fathom Pictures and Pramukh Film Production House, the series is written by Shravan Tiwari and the music is composed by Kunal Karan.
