Munjya box office collection day 1 - Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik have expanded their horror comedy universe with a new film, Munjya. Starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, and Mona Singh in the lead roles, the movie revolved around the legend of Munjya, inspired by Indian folklore. Munjya enjoyed a solo theatrical release on June 7, 2024. Interestingly, due to positive feedback from critics and fans, the horror comedy has got a good start at the box office.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk. Munjya was off to an impressive start at the box office. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the horror comedy earned approximately Rs 3.75 crore at the box office. It will be interesting to see how the Sharvari and Abhay Verma starrer performs further at the box office. 

In this film, Sharvari plays the role of Bella while Abhay Verma is seen as Bittu. Mona Singh, on the other hand, essays the character of Pammi. Munjya's star cast also includes Sathyaraj, Suhas Joshi, Bhagyashree Limaye, and others. 

Meanwhile, once Munjya's theatrical run ends, it will head for its digital release. The movie, backed by Dinesh and Amar under Maddock Films, will have its OTT release on Netflix. However, the makers haven't yet confirmed the official release date. Usually, a movie drops on OTT after 45 to 60 days of its theatrical release.

Earlier, in an interview with ANI, Sharvari spilled beans about her character from Munjya. The actress revealed, "My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritizes them above everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, so many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character."
