After the 2019 release of The Lion King, the live-action movie Mufasa: The Lion King is gearing up to premiere in theaters on December 20. The Tamil version will showcase a talented voice cast, featuring Arjun Das as Mufasa, Ashok Selvan as Taka, Robo Shankar and Singam Puli voicing Pumbaa and Timon, respectively. VTV Ganesh will lend his voice to the younger Rafiki, while M. Nasser will join the lineup as Kiros.

Actor Arjun Das is set to voice Mufasa in the Tamil version of Mufasa: The Lion King. He expressed his excitement about the role, saying, "Getting that call from Disney was thrilling. I’ve loved The Lion King since I was a kid, so I was over the moon when this opportunity came my way."
The actor talked about how he got ready for the role, saying it came together pretty organically. "I didn’t really do any special prep; my voice work was all about connecting with the character's emotions and the context."
