Allu Arjun is currently performing exceptionally well with the tremendous success of his recent film, Pushpa 2. Things have escalated to a new level as he has collaborated with none other than Atlee, known for Theri and Jawan, for a world-class blockbuster. Pre-production is currently in full progress, and information about the film's casting has circulated widely.

Mrunal Thakur in Atlee's upcoming project

In the past two days, news has circulated that Mrunal Thakur has been approached to portray the female lead in this film. This excitement thrilled fans, as Mrunal is a highly recognized name in Telugu cinema these days. However, we at OTTplay have discovered that this information is false.

One of the sources close to Allu Arjun has disclosed to us that Mrunal has not been engaged for the film, as the producers have alternative options in mind. The source additionally states that Mrunal's name was mentioned during the discussions, but she is not involved in the project at this time.

Mrunal Thakur in high demand after Hi Namma

Mrunal Thakur has captured the hearts of many with her impressive performances in Sita Ramam and Hi Nanna. Within a brief period, she has emerged as a leading star in Telugu cinema. There are also reports that Mrunal is in negotiations for Chiranjeevi's upcoming project, which will be directed by Anil Ravipudi, known for Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

Conversely, Atlee and Allu Arjun have begun preparations for the film, and we previously reported that Allu Arjun completed a look test for the project in Mumbai. The word is that Atlee has finally settled on one specific look for Allu Arjun.

There is also speculation that the Ala Vaikunthapurramloo star, Allu Arjun, will feature in a triple role in the film, but so far there has been no confirmation regarding this. Sun Pictures is funding the film on a grand scale, and according to the latest update, the shooting is scheduled to commence by the end of June 2025.

The producers are leaving no stone unturned and have enlisted leading Hollywood companies to handle the VFX aspect of the film. The as-yet-untitled film takes place in outer space and has a strong commercial connection to a character on Earth, portrayed by Allu Arjun. Currently, the casting of the film has become a trending topic, and unfortunately for Mrunal fans, she will not be romancing Allu Arjun in this film.
