Indrajith Sukumaran and Anaswara Rajan’s upcoming films

It is anticipated that the movie will focus on Indrajith's comfort level with humour and help him score a hit this year. His previous film, Marivillin Gopurangal, had a lacklustre performance in theatres. The actor is also playing pivotal roles in his brother Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial, Empuraan, and Jeethu Joseph’s Ram, both starring Mohanlal in the lead role.

Anaswara Rajan has been having a glorious time in her career from the end of last year, with Jeethu Joseph’s Neru. She had a couple of releases this year, including Abraham Ozler and Malayalee From India. Her recent film was Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, which is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

Other Malayalam releases in August

In contrast to July, August has multiple interesting Malayalam films that are slated for release in theatres. The state's big screens will screen Girish AD's film I Am Kathalan in August. Manju Warrier's Footage's theatrical premiere is slated on August 2. This film, which also features Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok, is said to be the first Malayalam found-footage production.

On the same day, Asif Ali's comedy Adios Amigo and Vinay Forrt's horror drama Chithini will be showed in theatres. The popular psychological horror thriller Manichitrathazhu is coming back to theatres on August 17. On August 22, Oru Jaathi Jathakam, starring Vineeth Sreenivasan, will hit the big screens.
