Mohanlal, the legendary superstar has completed 46 years in the film industry. After a very long wait, the veteran actor is now gearing up to make his directorial debut, very soon. For the uninitiated, Mohanlal announced his maiden directorial venture, 3D fantasy film Barroz, in 2020. Even though the project started rolling in 2021, it was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic and lockdown. After a long wait, the actor-director is reportedly gearing up to announce Barroz release date, soon.

Mohanlal’s Barroz: Santosh Sivan drops a major update

Recently, Santosh Sivan, who is reuniting with Mohanlal for Barroz, took to his official social media handles and dropped a major update on the film. The veteran cinematographer shared a candid click with the actor-director, which is seemingly clicked at a movie theatre, along with a special caption that left his followers curious. “Director/actor and DOP waiting to see the first screening of Barroz 3D,” reads Santosh Sivan’s Instagram post, which is now winning the internet.

Meanwhile, the recent updates from the movie theatres across Kerala also suggests that Barroz is indeed gearing up for a grand release, soon. The exciting posters of Mohanlal’s directorial debut have finally found a place in the Kerala theatres. Now, it is safe to assume that the actor-director might make the big announcement, really soon. Meanwhile, some unconfirmed reports suggest that Barroz might hit the theatres in November 2024.

Barroz trailer to be out soon?

Earlier, it was reported that the Barroz trailer will be officially launched at the upcoming IIFA event in September 2024. But, Mohanlal and his team reportedly cancelled the plan due to the uncertainitiy in the film’s release. Even though the team have not officially announced the Barroz trailer release date yet, the recent updates suggest that it might get released in October 2024. The makers already kickstarted the promotional campaign for the film, with the release of the Barroz and Voodoo animated series.
