The creators of L2 Empuraan are reportedly preparing to unveil character posters for the film on social media in the near future, alongside the teaser. According to rumours, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are organizing a comprehensive promotional campaign for this film, similar to the one executed for its predecessor, Lucifer, in 2019. The release of the character posters featuring Mohanlal is anticipated to occur in the final week of December 2024, likely coinciding with the Christmas festivities.

L2 Empuraan: Cast and crew

The sequel to Lucifer will see Mohanlal reprising his role as Stephen Nedumpally, also known as Khureshi Abraham. Prithviraj Sukumaran will return as Zayed Masood, the commander of the protagonist. The original cast, which includes Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, and Saniya Iyappan, among others, will once again portray their characters in L2 Empuraan. Additionally, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Arjun Das, Sharaf U Dheen, Shine Tom Chacko, and Karthikeya Dev, known for his role in Salaar, will take on significant roles in the film.

The musical score and songs for the film are composed by Deepak Dev, while Sujith Vaassudev serves as the director of photography. Editing duties are managed by Akhilesh Mohan. L2 Empuraan is produced collaboratively by Antony Perumbavoor and Allirajah Subaskaran under the esteemed banners of Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions and is scheduled for release on March 27, 2025.
