Mohanlal has been hard at work promoting his first film as a director, Barroz 3D, which hit theaters last week. For those eager for news on Drishyam 3, the actor had some intriguing thoughts to share. In a chat with India Today Digital, he mentioned that he’d be up for a crossover with Ajay Devgn, who played a role in the Hindi remake of the movie.

When Mohanlal was asked about the possibility of a Drishyam crossover featuring him and Ajay Devgn, he replied, “I really don’t know. If it happens, great! I’ll be hoping for it too.”

Drishyam 3 is on the way!

Mohanlal recently shared his thoughts on Drishyam 3, saying, “I really don’t know. It’s still in the works. Creating a solid sequel isn’t a walk in the park; it’s quite a challenge. Part three is definitely a tough task for everyone involved, including the director. But we’re working on it, and I’m hopeful it will come together eventually.”

Drishyam 2, featuring Mohanlal, was both written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. The Hindi version starred Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta, and was helmed by newcomer Abhishek Pathak, hitting theaters in 2022. It turned out to be a massive hit, raking in over ₹300 crores globally.

On another note, Mohanlal’s latest film, Barroz, is a Malayalam fantasy thriller where he plays the lead role alongside Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Ignacio Mateos, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Nerea Camacho, and Tuhin Menon. The Hindi version of the film hit theaters on December 25.

As for Ajay, he’s set to appear next in Azad.
