It has been a considerable duration since the audience of Netflix’s Mismatched experienced Season 3, and many remain disheartened by the unresolved narratives and emotional turmoil left by the creators. Viewers have been persistently urging the streaming platform to reinstate the series promptly to provide the resolution they seek, as the conclusion of the third season was not particularly uplifting. Nevertheless, there have been no announcements regarding the continuation of the franchise from Netflix. Neither the cast nor the streaming service has disclosed any information about its future. Recently, Taaruk Raina addressed the ongoing speculation in an exclusive interview. While he expresses optimism, he also shares a rather disappointing update for the fans.

Taaruk Raina on Mismatched Season 4  

Taaruk Raina is set to star in Ram Madhvani’s forthcoming series, The Waking Of A Nation, which will be available on SonyLIV. In this production, he portrays a lawyer dedicated to revealing the truth behind the tragic Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. During his promotional discussion with, Raina conveyed his apprehensions about leading a significant show and also commented on the possibility of his return for Mismatched Season 4.

When questioned about his potential return to Mismatched, Raina remarked, "I am currently unaware of any developments. We genuinely do not have any information. The notion of ‘going back’ feels like an isolated concept." When the interviewer highlighted the fans' aspirations to see him reprise his role, he responded: "I would also like that. If they decide to create another season, we will certainly return. However, at this moment, I do not have any plans in place. My focus is on ensuring that people watch this (The Waking Of A Nation), and I hope they enjoy it. Right now, I am not contemplating anything else."

He elaborated further, stating that while one can plan various aspects of life such as vacations, meals, or celebrations, certain elements remain beyond one’s control. As an artist, predicting future endeavors is inherently challenging as it involves more than just individual effort. Numerous factors must align for an actor to secure a role, for a production to be created, released, and ultimately succeed. Artists represent merely a fraction of this extensive process, making it far from straightforward.

Taaruk Raina on The Waking Of A Nation  

Taaruk Raina also addressed the pressures associated with leading a show produced by Ram Madhvani. He remarked that the anxiety is so intense that he is attempting to avoid overthinking. The team has invested tremendous effort into this project, and after a lengthy production period for The Waking Of A Nation, he now experiences a mix of nervousness and excitement. Having anticipated this moment for an extended period, it feels like a realization of a long-held dream. Achieving a project of this magnitude required significant dedication and numerous attempts.

Regarding his collaboration with a talented ensemble cast, he noted that working alongside Ram Madhvani and the remarkable actors involved in the show elevated his performance. Being surrounded by such high-caliber talent motivated him to elevate his own standards, which was a defining aspect of his experience with The Waking Of A Nation.
