Mirzapur fans had to wait for a long period for the makers to be back with a new season. After four years of the second season, Mirzapur 3 dropped on Amazon Prime Video. The web series had its digital release on July 5, 2024. While fans have already watched 10 episodes of Mirzapur 3, they were excitedly waiting for a bonus episode to be released. And now, the streaming platform has finally shared an update with a promo featuring Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi.

Amazon Prime Video dropped Divyenndu's promo on Instagram. The clip begins with Divyenndu aka Munna saying, "Hum kya gaye, bawaal hi mach gaya." He further talks about his 'loyal fans' missing him. Divyenndu as Munna added that he has found a few things that viewers felt were missing in the third season. "Just for you," adds Munna. Towards the end, August 30 is revealed as Mirzapur 3's bonus episode release date.
While sharing this promo on IG, the streamer wrote, "Bawaal hone wala hai, kyunki bonus episode aa raha hai MirzapurOnPrime, Bonus Episode, 30th Aug (sic)." The third season of Mirzapur features Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Isha Talwar and several others.
Who was the first choice to play Munna's character?
Meanwhile, in an interview with Filmygyan, actor Amit Sial revealed he was the first choice for Munna Tripathi's character in Mirzapur. The actor said, "Munna’s character in Mirzapur was offered to me, but obviously, I wouldn’t have been convincing as Pankaj Tripathi’s son. But I am very happy with the role I played. I think that’s a classic character."
