Mere Husband Ki Biwi Struggles at Box Office: Arjun Kapoor's Film Falls Short on Day 4

24 days ago | 5 Views

Arjun Kapoor's film Mere Husband Ki Biwi has experienced a significant decline in Box Office performance, with its lowest point occurring on the first Monday following its release. Featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh in leading roles, the film failed to generate even one crore in revenue on its fourth day, thereby failing to meet the critical Monday benchmark. With earnings measured in lakhs, the film has struggled to reach a total of Rs. 5 crore within the first four days of its release. Below is a breakdown of the day-wise Box Office collections for Mere Husband Ki Biwi.

Mere Husband Ki Biwi first Monday Box Office

The first Monday usually predicts what a film's performance would be like and Mere Husband Ki Biwi, struggling with the downward trend since Sunday, was worst hit on its first Monday. The movie barely earned Rs. 51 lakh.

Mere Husband Ki Biwi barely earns Rs 5 crore

In the span of four days following its release, Mere Husband Ki Biwi managed to generate a mere Rs. 5 crore. On its opening Friday, it collected Rs. 1.5 crore, with a slight increase to Rs. 1.65 crore on the first Saturday. The film experienced its initial decline coinciding with the India vs Pakistan match on Sunday. By the third day, Mere Husband Ki Biwi had earned Rs. 1.11 crore, followed by an additional Rs. 51 lakh on the first Monday, according to Sacnilk. Consequently, the total Box Office collection stands at Rs. 4.82 crore net, which falls short of the Rs. 5 crore mark, indicating that Mere Husband Ki Biwi is significantly underperforming.

Chhaava effect?

One of the primary factors contributing to the failure of Mere Husband Ki Biwi is its timing of release. The film debuted alongside strong competitors such as Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava and Harshvardhan Rane's Sanam Teri Kasam, both of which have garnered significant acclaim. The narrative of Mere Husband Ki Biwi pales in comparison to the affection that audiences have shown for a film like Chhaava. This situation, coupled with the mixed reviews received by Arjun Kapoor's film, has severely impacted its performance. Given that it has yet to earn Rs. 10 crore, the prospects for the movie appear bleak moving forward.
