Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young are set to light up your Valentine's week with their romantic comedy, Melo Movie, dropping on February 14. Get ready for some fun. 

Melo Movie storyline

Melo Movie is a South Korean rom-com series that follows a movie lover and a hopeful film director who cross paths again after a strange incident. The show dives into themes of love, healing, and dealing with past issues. It focuses on how the couple navigates their relationship while juggling their dreams and personal struggles.

Ko Gyeom (Choi Woo-shik) is a huge movie fan who turns into a film critic, driven by his desire to see every film ever made. Meanwhile, Kim Mu-bee (Park Bo-young) is an aspiring director with a tricky history, shaped by her film-obsessed dad, leading to a love-hate relationship with the industry.

Though they were once close, a surprising event pulled them apart, but fate eventually brings them back together, reigniting old feelings and unresolved issues.

Melo Movie cast

In addition to Choi Woo-shik and Park Bo-young, the lineup includes Lee Jun-young (from Mask Girl and Badland Hunters) playing Hong Si-jun, who’s an aspiring musician and Gyeom’s best buddy. Jeon So-nee (featured in Parasyte: The Grey and Our Blooming Youth) takes on the role of Son Ju-a, Si-jun’s former girlfriend.

The show is helmed by Oh Choong-hwan, who’s known for popular series like Hotel del Luna and Start-Up. He teamed up with Lee Na-eun, the writer of Our Beloved Summer, for this project called Melo Movie.
