According to the official synopsis available on various platforms, Meghna Gulzar's Daayra, known for her work in Just Married, delves into the pressing and disturbing realities of contemporary society. This crime-drama thriller examines the enduring conflict between crime, punishment, and justice, featuring the formidable talents of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in powerful roles. The three have expressed their excitement through heartfelt messages during the film's announcement.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, recognized for her role in Chameli, shared a photo on her Instagram where the trio is seen posing together, along with a striking image of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kareena gazing intently at one another. She captioned the post, “I’ve always considered myself a director’s actor... and I am thrilled to collaborate with one of the finest directors, @meghnagulzar, alongside the incredible @therealprithvi, whose work I greatly admire.
