On the occasion of Ugadi, celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the producers of Chiranjeevi's upcoming film made a significant announcement. Chiranjeevi, a prominent figure in Telugu cinema known for his versatility across various genres, including action and emotional narratives, will be teaming up with director Anil Ravipudi, whose recent film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, achieved remarkable success.

Chiranjeevi joins hands with director Anil Ravipudi for next

Previously, we reported that the Telugu superstar is looking forward to the release of the socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara. In a recent update for Ugadi, the actor revealed plans for a new film. Chiranjeevi is set to partner with filmmaker Anil Ravipudi for an engaging new project.

Anil Ravipudi's last film, Sankranthiki Vasthunam, not only became a blockbuster but also set records by grossing over Rs 300 crore. This eagerly awaited collaboration is provisionally titled #Mega157 and will be produced by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, in conjunction with Sushmita Konidela's Gold Box Entertainments.

The launch of #Mega157 took place on Sunday with a pooja ceremony. Actor Venkatesh initiated the clapboard, while Allu Aravind activated the camera, and director K Raghavendra Rao oversaw the first shot.

According to the producers, the film will incorporate elements of humor, emotion, and dynamic action. Anil has penned the script, with Chiranjeevi portraying the role of Shankar Varaprasad. The technical crew includes cinematographer Sameer Reddy, with music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, and editing by Tammiraju.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam, released in January 2025 to coincide with the Sankranthi festival, is a family-oriented action drama featuring Venkatesh Daggubati in the lead role.

The film, which is both written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and includes a talented ensemble cast, featuring well-known actors such as Meenakshi Chaudhary, Aishwarya Rajesh, Srinivasa Reddy, Sai Kumar, Upendra Limaye, Naresh, VTV Ganesh, and Srinivas Avasarala.
