Mechanic Rocky box office collection day 2: Good talk but pathetic numbers

Mechanic Rocky is Vishwak Sen's latest film, which hit the screens on November 22, 2024. The makers were so confident about its success that they arranged premiere shows a day in advance. The initial word-of-mouth reviews from these shows were positive, leaving Vishwak Sen super thrilled. Even on the official release day, the feedback remained largely favorable.
Mechanic Rocky two day collection is here
Unfortunately, this positive buzz has not translated into box office collections. Mechanic Rocky opened with a very disappointing performance, earning just ₹1.5 crore on day one and ₹1.6 crore on day two. This brings the total collection for the first two days to a mere ₹3.2 crore, which is shockingly low.
Day three, despite being a key Sunday, is also expected to show minimal improvement. Overall, Mechanic Rocky is likely to end its first weekend with collections under ₹4 crore, which is considered poor at the box office.
Mechanic Rocky falters at the box office
Directed by Ravi Teja Mullapudi and produced by Ram Talluri on a decent budget, Mechanic Rocky explores cybercrimes and how a group of people scams the protagonist into a massive insurance policy fraud. While the first half of the film received criticism and was panned by audiences, the second half picked up momentum and managed to impress many viewers.
The film's trailer, however, was lackluster, which likely contributed to low theater attendance. Even on Sunday, occupancy for Mechanic Rocky remained below 50% in key release areas. In the US, the film also started on a very dull note.
Amazon Prime has acquired the digital rights to the film, which also stars Shraddha Srinath and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Both heroines delivered solid performances, but it was Shraddha who surprised audiences with her intense negative role. It remains to be seen how Mechanic Rocky performs in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
