Mazaka latest collections

Prior to its release, the family drama was heavily marketed, with the producers displaying considerable confidence by organizing paid premieres. Nevertheless, despite the extensive promotion, the film has experienced a sluggish start at the box office.

After two days in theaters, Mazaka has garnered ₹3.5 crore globally. It earned ₹2 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹1.5 crore on the second day. These figures are disappointing, given the scale of the promotional efforts.

The film's release during weekdays contributed to low occupancy rates. However, with no significant Telugu films debuting this week, the producers remain optimistic that Mazaka will pick up steam over the weekend.

Rao Ramesh's comedy is the major highlight

A notable aspect of the film is Rao Ramesh's comedic performance, which has been well-received by viewers. However, the second half has faced criticism for its lackluster execution, which has negatively affected the film's overall reception. Trinadha Rao Nakkina, known for his work in entertaining comedies, aimed to create a mass appeal with Mazaka.

The narrative centers on a father who decides to remarry in hopes of encouraging his son to settle down. The plot thickens when both the father and son develop feelings for women from the same family, resulting in a series of humorous situations.

Anshu, recognized for her role in Manmadhudu, returns to Telugu cinema after nearly 15 years, taking on a crucial role. The music for the film was composed by Leon James, with Murali Sharma also playing an important part.

Despite an engaging first half, the disappointing second half has affected critical reviews. Zee5 has secured the digital rights for a substantial sum and plans to stream Mazaka in the second week of March 2025. Further updates will follow.
