Director Mari Selvaraj, who is currently awaiting the release of his film Vaazhai, is also shooting his film Bison Kaalamadan with actor Dhruv Vikram. Now, in the latest, the filmmaker is in talks with actor Karthi for an untitled project.

Mari Selvaraj and Karthi to work?

Mari Selvaraj, who last helmed Maamannan featuring Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and others, is currently one of the busiest filmmakers in Tamil cinema. The director is currently working with actor Dhruva Vikram for a film titled Bison, which is said to be a rural drama based on kabbadi sports. Now, as per new reports, Mari Selvaraj is also in talks with actor Karthi for a film. However, an official announcement in this regard is yet to be made. If the project will take off, it will mark the first time Mari Selvaraj and Karthi are working together.

It is said that the director had met Karthi while working on Maamannan. After Karthi invited to discuss a project with him, Mari Selvaraj had given a brief narration for film. The project is said to take off after Mari Selvaraj completes his second project with Dhanush, which was announced soon after the success of their film Karnan. More details on the project are awaited.

Mari Selvaraj’s Vaazhai

Vaazhai is the director’s fourth directorial to be released after Pariyerum Perumal, Karnan and Maamanan. Vaazhai is made by banners Disney+ Hotstar, Navvi Studios, and Farmer’s Master Plan Production. It stars actors Ponvel M, Raghul R, Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, J Sathish Kumar, Dhivya Duraisamy, Janaki, and others are part of the cast, with Mari Selvaraj and Divya Mari Selvaraj serving as producers. The film is set to hit theatres on August 23.

The director is also working with Dhruv Vikram for Bison, for which the shooting is underway. Actor Anupama Parameswaran is playing the female lead in the film backed by Neelam Productions and Applause Entertainment.
