Marco, the highly anticipated action thriller, stars Unni Mukundan in the titular role. The movie, which is a spin-off to the Nivin Pauly starrer Mikhael, is directed by Haneef Adeni. Marco, which is based on Unni Mukundan’s character from Mikhael, is touted to be the most violent action film ever made in Malayalam, yet. The makers of the highly anticipated first look of the film, featuring its leading man-producer in a deadly avatar on social media, today (June 16, 2024).

Marco first-look poster is out

The recently released Marco first look poster, featuring Unni Mukundan, has impressed the Malayalam cine-goers. The popular actor is seen in a menacing avatar in the first-look poster of Haneef Adeni’s film. Unni’s character, Marco Jr. is seen holding a knife in his mouth, with his face covered in blood. In the poster, the popular actor is seen in a black blazer and formal shirt, which he teamed up with a new hairdo, thick beard, and a matching black rosary.

The leading man Unni Mukundan, who has also co-produced the film, took to his official social media handles and revealed the Marco first-look poster, along with a special caption. “When their *REASONS* ended, His *KNIFE* began #Marco #KillingSoon,” reads the actor’s post. From the Marco first-look poster, it is safe to assume that the Malayalam cinema audiences are in for a bloody ride with the film. As per the reports, the much-awaited Marco teaser is expected to be revealed in a couple of weeks.

Marco – Meet the cast and crew

The titular character Marco Jr., who was the deadly antagonist of Mikhael, will be shown in a different light in the upcoming Haneef Adeni directorial. Yukti Thareja, the young Telugu actress, has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Unni Mukundan, in the film. Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Anson Paul, and Kabir Duhan Singh appear in pivotal roles in the film.

KGF music composer Ravi Basrur is making his debut in Malayalam cinema with Marco. Chandru Selvaraj is the director of photography. Shameer Muhammed handles the editing. Kalai Kingson handles the action choreography. The project is jointly produced by Unni Mukundan and Shareef Muhammed, under the banners Unni Mukundan Films and Cubes Entertainments. The action thriller is set to have a pan-Indian release in five languages - Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
