Marco, featuring the tough guy Unni Mukundan, has dropped on OTT a day ahead of schedule. This Malayalam action thriller, directed by Haneef Adeni, is now streaming on Sony Liv. When the film was released back in December 2024, there was plenty of buzz about an extended version that was supposed to be available for viewers on OTT. So, is Sony Liv showing that extended cut? Marco on Son Liv with a more detailed take?

Unni Mukundan's action-packed thriller Marco hit Sony Liv on February 13, 2025. You can also catch it on OTTplay Premium. The streaming version runs for about 2 hours and 21 minutes, while the original theatrical cut was 2 hours and 24 minutes long. So, it looks like the OTT version has been shortened by a few minutes instead of being extended.

Updates on Marco's longer runtime

Marco tells a gripping revenge story as the main character navigates through intense scenes filled with brutal violence. The Malayalam film received an A rating from the Censor Board, which requested some edits. A few scenes with Riyas Khan were cut due to their violent content, sparking rumors that they might be included on an OTT platform later. There are also reports that Unni Mukundan supported this decision. 

So, Marco on Sony Liv doesn’t have the extended version available. The Hindi version of Marco hasn’t hit the digital scene yet, and it probably won’t come with an extended cut either. But hey, let’s just wait and see!

Unni Mukundan takes the spotlight in Haneef Aden’s latest film. The cast also features Jagadish, Siddique, Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Kabir Duhan Singh, along with Yukti Thareja, Ansol Paul, Rahul Dev, Sudev Nair, and Kalabhavan Shahjohn, making it a thrilling ride.

The movie hit theaters on December 20, 2024, just in time for Christmas, and quickly sparked conversations due to its intense and graphic violence.
