Marco Scheduled for OTT Release: Details on Viewing Unni Mukundan’s Intense Action-Thriller in Tamil and Telugu
1 month ago | 5 Views
For those who were unable to view Unni Mukundan’s Marco in cinemas during its 50-day screening period, the A-rated action-thriller will be available for streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium starting February 14. The film, directed by Haneef Adeni, will be offered in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, in addition to its original Malayalam version, and has become one of the most significant successes of 2024.
Although only the Hindi and Malayalam versions premiered in theaters on December 20, the film quickly gained popularity, prompting the producers to prepare its Telugu and Tamil versions by the first week of January.
Marco on OTT: Where to watch its Tamil and Telugu versions?
The film centers on a merciless brother, Marco, who returns from exile to seek vengeance for the murder of his visually impaired stepbrother. However, he soon discovers that his adversaries are more powerful than he had anticipated, resulting in his family becoming embroiled in the conflict, which leads to significant casualties on both sides. Marco has been rated A due to its graphic depictions of dismemberment and violence against women and children.
It is important to mention that while Sony LIV has secured the streaming rights for the South Indian language versions, the rights for the Hindi version remain unsold. The Tamil and Telugu adaptations of the film are set to begin streaming on February 14.
The Hindi version may be available on a different platform. Notably, the Hindi dubbed version has contributed to Marco's record-breaking performance in North India for a Malayalam film, making it the highest-grossing Malayalam movie in that region.

Reasons to watch Marco on OTT
The primary motivation to watch Marco, particularly for those who appreciate intense action sequences reminiscent of certain Korean films, lies in the performance of its lead, Unni Mukundan, who embodies the title character with an impressive level of confidence.
Although Marco may lack depth in its narrative, the compelling portrayals of its antagonists, Kabir Duhan Singh and Abhimanyu Thilakan, along with the diverse action sequences, significantly compensate for this shortcoming. Additionally, the background score composed by Ravi Basrur, known for his work on KGF, contributes to the overall enjoyment of the thriller in cinemas.
