Indian cinema has witnessed films from the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada industries successfully entering the esteemed ₹1000-crore club. Nevertheless, no Malayalam film has yet reached this milestone. "Marco" aims to bridge this gap. Released on the 20th of this month, the film is generating significant box office collections in the Malayalam sector and has made a remarkable impact in the Hindi market following its theatrical debut.
Featuring Unni Mukundan in the lead role and directed by Haneef Adeni, "Marco" is produced by Shareef Mohammed under the "Cubes Entertainment" label. Given the exceptional reception of the Hindi version in the Telugu regions, the production team is considering an expansion of its theatrical release.
Commenting on the film's success, Balwant Singh, head of ZINEVERSE, stated, "Just as audiences discuss blockbusters like Baahubali, KGF, Kantara, and the recent Pushpa-2, 'Marco' will undoubtedly be part of those conversations. The Hindi version is making significant strides in both Telugu states, and we will be increasing the number of theatres starting tomorrow!"
