Unni Mukundan's recent action-thriller, Marco, experienced a robust performance during its second weekend at the Indian box office, generating Rs 5.9 crore over Saturday and Sunday. Notably, the film witnessed a significant increase in earnings on Sunday, accumulating Rs 3.2 crore, while the Hindi version of Marco achieved yet another milestone.

As reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, Marco's cumulative box office revenue in India has reached Rs 35.8 crore after ten days of release.

Marco Hindi version leads its Day 10 box office collection

Over the weekend, the Hindi version of Marco was launched in nearly 250 theatres, a significant rise from just 34 on Thursday. The film has benefited from favourable word of mouth, resulting in a gross of approximately Rs 0.80 Cr on Sunday alone. Notably, Marco has set a new record for the highest earnings of a Hindi-dubbed version of a Malayalam film, surpassing the previous record held by Aadujeevitham, which was Rs 42 lakh, just one week after its release.

Consequently, the weekend earnings for the Hindi versions amounted to Rs 0.60 Cr and Rs 0.80 Cr on December 28 and December 29, respectively, establishing a new standard for Hindi-dubbed adaptations of Malayalam films. To date, the Hindi version of Marco has accumulated a total of Rs 1.93 Cr.

Marco to rely on Tamil, and Telugu versions to cross Rs 100 Cr

The film will significantly depend on its Tamil and Telugu adaptations to achieve entry into the Rs 100 Cr club. This appears plausible, as the movie is approaching Rs 75 Cr in global earnings, and there are few major releases in other languages until January 10. Additionally, Pushpa 2 is starting to experience a decline in viewership, which will result in more screens being available for Marco's two South versions.

Marco's Telugu-dubbed film is scheduled to premiere in theatres on January 1, 2025, coinciding with the GCC release of its Hindi version. The producers are expected to reveal the release date for the Tamil version on December 30.
