Now that Manoj Bajpayee's Bhaiyya Ji is out on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium, the fever is catching on. It has reached Mumbai autos, which the streaming platform has revealed through a fun video. This is about the attitude and refusal which comes from the autowallas in Mumbai.
Auto refuses SoBo customer
A girl, who appears to be from South Mumbai, but has a South Delhi accent, tries to catch an auto. Being arrogant, he refuses to give her a ride. She keeps calling him 'bhaaya,' and when she asks the reason for his refusal, he takes her to the poster stuck at the back of his auto. This autowalla wants respect and so, he demands she call him 'Bhaiyya Ji.'
The fun part
Despite heeding to his request, the auto driver refuses to drop the customer to Bandra. This is because he wants to go to Andheri instead, and it is time for his shift to be over and reach home. Thus, showing his attitude, the auto driver leaves the customer stranded on the road (as most do).
About Bhaiyya Ji
Bhaiyya Ji is Manoj Bajpayee's 100th film and it sees him as a superstar in himself. The movie, directed by Apoorv Singh Karki of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai fame, is the revenge story of a man who has been wronged along with his family. The actor called it the story of stepbrothers who take the spirit of the family ahead. They are called Bhaiyya Ji in Bihar. Interestingly, Manoj had revealed that he did not rely on a stunt man and performed most (98 percent) of the action sequences by himself in the said movie.
Bhaiyya Ji also stars Zoya Hussain in the lead role. It further features Jatin Goswami, Savinderpal Vicky, and Vipin Sharma in pivotal roles. Originally a theatrical release (with a Box Office collection of Rs. 11.5 crores), the film is now out (two months later) on OTT through Zee5 and can be streamed via OTTplay Premium.
