The makers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers, released the Malayalam blockbuster Manjummel Boys in Telugu on April 6, 2024. Though the film started on a dull note on day one, word of mouth picked up from the night shows. We at OTTplay have already reported that Manjummel Boys made Rs 0.8 crore on day one in Telugu states.

Well, things improved on day two, as the film made Rs 1.4 crore gross, which is quite impressive. The positive feedback has resulted in the film's occupancy, which is slowly picking up with each passing day. With Vijay Deverakonda's Family Star ending as a huge disaster, the shows for Manjummel Boys have increased in a few areas of Telugu states.

This week, there are two holidays for Ugadi and Ramadan, and the occupancy will once again increase for Manjummel Boys, seeing the way it is performing. Mythri Movie Makers have bought the Telugu dubbing rights for a nominal price, and they will very soon end in a profit zone, as per the news.

The Telugu version was not promoted as much as the other release, Premalu, by its Telugu producers. That is also one reason Manjummel Boys is taking time to reach the audience. Not many movies will be out in the next few days, and we need to see how this film will fare in the Telugu states. When compared to Andhra, Manjummel Boys is doing well in Telangana.

Manjummel Boys has grossed over Rs 220 crores in Malayalam and is one of the finest thrillers in recent times. Chidambaram directed this film, which is about a group of friends who go on a holiday and get stuck in the famous Guna Caves. Watch this space for more updates.
