Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in the commercially successful film Maharaja, is reportedly set to star alongside actor Manikandan in an upcoming web series. While there is a strong buzz on social media regarding the same, an official announcement has not been made in this regard.

Manikandan and Vijay Sethupathi in a series?

Manikandan and Vijay Sethupathi are exceptional talents in Tamil cinema, who has given a blockbuster each this year, with their Lover and Maharaja respectively. Now, as per the latest social media buzz, a new series is in the making with these two talents.

The series is expected to be made for Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform. However, not much about the cast and crew of the series have been surfaced yet. Reportedly the series is called Muthu Enkira Kattaan. Touted to be a rural action series, an official announcement has not yet been made by the streaming platform nor the actors have confirmed. It will be interesting indeed to watch Manikandan and Vijay Sethupathi sharing the screen space for the first time.

It is to be noted that earlier, Vijay Sethupathi had announced doing a web series for director Manikandan who helmed films like Kadaisi Vivasayi and Kaaka Muttai. We are yet to get clarified if Muthu Enkira Kattaan is the same project.

Manikandan and Vijay Sethupathi’s line-up

Manikandan was last seen in Lover which released earlier this year to positive reception. The film is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, and directed by Prabhuram Vyas. The film explores the toxicity in modern day relationship. The actor is officially set to announce his next project.

On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi who was last seen in Maharaja, has upcoming Ace, which co-stars Rukmini Vasanth. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers. The actor has Viduthalai- Part 2 and Gandhi Talks awaiting releases.
