Recent reports indicate that the Malayalam actors association, A.M.M.A, is eager to reintroduce its inaugural production, Twenty 20, to theatres. According to these updates, the film directed by Joshiy is expected to undergo remastering in 4K format. Should the plans proceed as anticipated, the film featuring Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Suresh Gopi is projected to have a significant re-release in theatres at the start of March 2025. The exact release date will be determined once the remastering process is completed by the crew.

Twenty 20: Streaming service, ensemble, and production team.

The highly successful ensemble film that premiered in November 2008 is now available for streaming on the well-known OTT platform, Sun NXT. Additionally, Twenty 20 can be accessed on OTT Play Premium. Directed by Joshiy, the screenplay was collaboratively crafted by Uday Krishna and Sibi K Thomas. In this film, Mammootty portrays Adv. Ramesh Nambiar, a prominent criminal lawyer, while Mohanlal takes on the role of Devaraja Prathapa Varma, a businessman. Suresh Gopi plays the character of SP Antony Punnekkadan IPS.

In addition to the leading trio, Twenty 20 features a remarkable cast including Jayaram, Dileep, Indrajith Sukumaran, Madhu, Siddique, Manoj K Jayan, Vijayaraghavan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Lalu Alex, Bhavana, Nayanthara, Gopika, Sukumari, Kaviyoor Ponnamman, Karthika, Sindhu Menon, Kavya Madhavan, Sai Kumar, Harisree Ashokan, Jagadish, among others in significant roles. The musical score was composed by Suresh Peters and Berny Ignatius, while C Rajamani provided the background music. The cinematography was handled by P Sukumar.
