Latest Malayalam film, Malayalee From India, is all set to make its digital debut soon. The comedy drama, which stars Nivin Pauly in the lead role, will be available on Sony LIV from July 5, in multiple languages apart from Malayalam.

After a string of box office setbacks, the actor's fans were hoping that this year's individual release of the film would finally bring him the hit he so richly deserves. Following its May 3 theatrical debut, Malayalee From India received a mixed reception and fell short of the audience's expectations.

Those who missed the movie on the big screen are eager for its digital release, despite the film's dismal box office and theatrical performance. Nivin's performance in Varshangalkku Shesham was highly praised, so it was expected that Malayalee From India would give him a well-deserved comeback and extend the success of the Malayalam industry this year.

Fans of the Moothon star have been let down by his string of box office failures in recent years. People were anticipating a humorous character, which Nivin is adept at handling, when Malayalee From India was announced. The audience expected a hilarious treat in theatres during the holiday season thanks to Nivin and Dhyan Sreenivasan's collaboration.

Varshangalkku Shesham, the other most recent film by Nivin Pauly and Dhyan Sreenivasan, was made available for streaming on the same OTT platform on June 6. It is likely that the digital streaming platform also paid an enormous sum for the digital rights to the film, considering the excitement that surrounded it.
