We had earlier reported that actor Keerthy Suresh would be headlining a film titled Raghu Thatha. On Friday, dropped an exciting update about the film on social media. Yes! The Keerthy Suresh-starrer has finally got a release date. Raghu Thatha will hit big screens on August 15.

Raghu Thatha gets release date

Keerthy Suresh will be headlining an upcoming film titled Raghu Thatha. The makers announced on Friday that the film is set to hit big screens on April 15, in time for India’s Independence Day. The film is backed by Hombale Films, the production banner behind the hit Kannada franchise KGF and Salaar. Raghu Thatha will mark their foray into Tamil cinema.

Raghu Thatha is written and directed by Suman Kumar in his directorial debut. He is known for his work in Farzi and Guns & Gulaabs, among others. Raghu Thatha is touted to be a comedy entertainer and the makers of Raghu Thatha released a new poster.

“#RaghuThatha, Kayalvizhi’s heart-warming adventure is coming to theatres near you. Get ready for a hilarious, emotional and empowering rollercoaster ride! #RaghuThatha releases on 15th August 2024! Can’t wait for you guys to watch this!” Keerthy Suresh wrote while sharing it. The poster shows Keerthy decked up in silk saree and adorned with jewellery, with supporting characters posing behind.

The film also stars MS Bhaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshni, Jayakumar, Rajeev Ravindranathan, Anandsami, Rajesh Balachandran, Ismath Banu, Aadhira Pandilakshmi, Janaki, and Chu Khoy Sheng. KS Mippu, Mukesh, and Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan.

Raghu Thatha’s technical crew includes cinematography by Yamini Yagnamurthy, who has worked with Keerthy Suresh in the 2022 action-drama Saani Kaayidham. Sean Roldan is composing the music for the film and TS Suresh is in charge of editing. It is to be noted that the upcoming film will clash at the box office with the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rule. Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh was last seen in Siren.
