Magizh Thirumeni says Vidaamuyarchi has no mass elements

Director Magizh Thirumeni and actor Ajith Kumar have collaborated on the film Vidaamuyarchi, which is set to premiere in theatres on February 6. This action thriller also features performances by Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Nikhil Nair, among others.

In anticipation of the film's release, Magizh shared his thoughts in an interview, stating, "This film is quite intriguing and will captivate viewers. It represents a mainstream Tamil narrative centred around the life of an ordinary individual." He described it as a "remarkable film" and encouraged audiences to approach it with an open mind. "It is an exceptional film. There are no exaggerated dialogues or grand entrances for Ajith sir, nor is there an elaborate buildup or interval sequence. However, it will undoubtedly satisfy the audience, including his fans," he remarked.

Magizh Thirumeni further stated that it was Ajith Kumar who preferred to exclude any mass appeal elements from the film, while the director himself wished to incorporate such features. The director also addressed the negativity that surrounded the project, emphasizing that it was Ajith who provided the essential positivity during this time.

Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film. Produced by Lyca Productions, it will be available for streaming on the platform following its theatrical release. The music for the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander, and the cinematography is handled by Om Prakash. Vidaamuyarchi is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 6.
