Actor-producer Nazriya Fahadh, who was recently seen in Malayalam hit film Sookshmadarshini, is gearing up for her OTT project for SonyLIV. While we had earlier reported that director AL Vijay will spearhead a series called Murder Mystery for the platform, the project will also mark Nazriya's debut in the OTT space. Plot of Nazriya Fahadh’s Madras Murder revealed
Nazriya Fahadh, whose film Sookshmadarshini tasted success recently, is all set to team up with AL Vijay for a series titled Madras Murder. Earlier, the makers had announced the project to be a period drama based on one of the biggest incidents that shook the people of the then Madras (British India).
It is now revealed that the series will explore the hidden conspiracies and mysteries surrounding the death of a journalist who wrote about film celebrities. In the 1940s Madras Presidency, the Lakshmikanthan murder case was a high-profile criminal trial. It involved the murder of a famous film journalist known to write columns on the personal lives of film celebrities, earning the wrath of actors. Lakshmikanthan was stabbed by a group of unknown members in Vepery, Madras, following which a criminal case was filed. Tamil film actors MK Thyagaraja Bhagavathar and NS Krishnan were suspects. However, the real killers remain unidentified to date, further adding to the mystery.

Alongside Nazriya, actors Shanthanu and Natty are also expected to be part of the project which will premiere on SonyLIV. Other known faces are also expected to be part of the project, with additional details to come soon by the makers.
The Madras Murdes is written and helmed by Sooriyaprathap S with AL Vijay serving as the showrunner. IB Karthikeyan will be bankrolling the show under the banner of Big Print Pictures. A release date for the series is yet to be announced by the makers.
