Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, known for its impressive array of successful films across various genres, is set to release a new romantic comedy titled Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film's trailer was unveiled on Thursday in Mumbai, where producer Dinesh Vijan shared insights into the film's emotional core and the guiding philosophy behind Maddock’s creative endeavors.

“This film represents the cornerstone of Maddock’s identity,” Vijan reflected on the production house's origins. “Movies such as Hindi Medium, Bala, Luka Chuppi, and Mimi have resonated deeply with audiences. They tell the stories of everyday people, which is the essence of our cinema.”

Vijan expressed his enthusiasm for narratives that convey moral lessons. “When Karan [Sharma] presented this story to me, it brought back memories of the meaningful tales my grandmother shared during my childhood—stories filled with significance and emotion,” he noted. “This film carries a beautiful and entertaining message that isn’t even hinted at in the trailer. That’s the true essence of the film.”

He reaffirmed Maddock’s dedication to producing films that are both sincere and relatable. “We enjoy creating these types of stories, and we appreciate watching them as well. While films like Stree and Chhava have been successful, this is our foundation. This defines who we are.”

As a father of two young children, Vijan mentioned that he now approaches storytelling with greater mindfulness. “I have a son and a daughter, both three and a half years old. I aspire to create films that they will be proud of as they grow up. This isn’t a deliberate choice—it’s something that is coming to me organically.”

Directed by Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf features Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in leading roles and is scheduled for release in theaters on May 9, 2025.
