MAD was a budget-friendly Telugu movie starring some fresh faces in the lead. At first, not many thought it would do well, but this comedy turned out to be a total surprise hit at the box office, giving Narne Nithin, Sangeeth Shoban, and Vishnu Oi a great lift in their careers.

The creators are back with MAD Square, the follow-up to the MAD series. Directed by Anand Shankar, the teaser kicks off with one of the friends tying the knot, only for his three buddies to show up and stir up some trouble. The film looks set to deliver plenty of laughs, just like the first one did.

Sangeeth Shoban really shines with his sharp appearance and perfect comic timing, while Narne Nithin, Jr. NTR's brother-in-law, stands out as the fiery yet funny character. Muralidhar Goud also brings his A-game as the dad, with his delivery adding to the comedic vibe.

MAD Square seems to be light on plot but heavy on laughs that really hit the mark. The teaser's final shot, where Sangeeth slams his phone and says “bye,” perfectly captures the vibe of the movie. While the first film was all about college life, love, and friendships, this sequel takes a turn towards a wedding, adding a little crime twist to the mix.

Director Kalyan Shankar sticks to what he does best, serving up the kind of comedy that fans can’t wait to see. With Naga Vamsi and Trivikram Srinivas producing on a budget, the film has already landed its digital rights with Netflix.

MAD Square is gearing up for a big theatrical debut on March 29, 2025, which is perfect timing since student exams in the Telugu states will be over by then. The teaser has definitely met the hype, and fans are super excited for more news. Keep an eye out!
