Loveyapa Revealed: Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan's Romantic Comedy to Hit Theaters on February 7, 2025

A fresh on-screen duo has emerged in the industry! Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of the renowned Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, will be sharing the screen for the first time with Junaid Khan, the son of Aamir Khan, in an upcoming romantic drama. The title of the film has recently been disclosed as Loveyapa. Additionally, the producers have announced the film's release date alongside the title.

Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan's Loveyapa release date

On December 26, Phantom Studios announced via their Instagram account the release of a poster for the forthcoming romantic drama featuring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan. They disclosed that the film, titled Loveyapa, is set to premiere in theatres on February 7, 2025, and is directed by Advait Chandan.

The caption states, “Situationship? Relationship? What is Love? Or perhaps Loveyapa? Join us in theaters on February 7, 2025." Following the announcement, fans expressed their enthusiasm. One fan commented, “This is destined to be the blockbuster of 2025." Another added, “Wooooo… I am extremely excited about this."

The film is said to be a remake of the successful 2022 Tamil film Love Today, which was both directed by and starred Pradeep Ranganathan.

Loveyapa shooting update

Hindustan Times previously reported that the initial phase of filming concluded in Mumbai, and the pair is currently engaged in shooting in the Capital. 

"The team commenced filming here approximately three to four days ago, with the schedule expected to continue for an additional 10 to 12 days. While the supporting cast has been participating in the shoot as required, Junaid and Khushi will remain present for the entirety of the schedule," the source stated.

About Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor

Junaid Khan commenced his acting career with the film Maharaja, where he shared the screen with Jaideep Ahlawat. This thriller drama, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, is based on the Maharaja Libel Trial Case of 1862. The character Karsandas Mulji, portrayed by Junaid Khan, is a journalist and social reformer who played a crucial role in advocating for women's rights and social change. He was known for his writings on widow remarriage and his efforts to support the marginalized, thereby initiating significant reforms within society.

Conversely, Khushi Kapoor made her entry into the film industry with The Archies. This film also introduced Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda. The Archies is a musical-comedy that serves as an Indian adaptation of the American comic book series, set in the fictional town of Riverdale and is directed by Zoya Akhtar.
