JioHotstar has revealed the worldwide streaming debut of Loveyapa, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Directed by Advait Chandan, this romantic comedy is a production of Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment. The film was initially released in theaters on February 7 of this year.

The movie, which includes performances by Ashutosh Rana, Grusha Kapoor, Tanvika Parlikar, and Kiku Sharda, is available for streaming on the OTT platform. JioHotstar recently posted a motion poster on Instagram showcasing Khushi and Junaid. The accompanying caption stated, "Everything is fair in love & loveyapa! (Love letter emoji) #Loveyapa is Now Streaming exclusively on JioHotstar."

About Loveyapa

The film served as the theatrical debut for both Junaid and Khushi. Junaid Khans initial film was Netflix's Maharaj, released in 2024, while Khushi made her debut with The Archies, which premiered on the platform in 2023. The film is characterized as a "complex narrative of love and its intricacies, infused with humor and joy." According to Sacnilk.com, it grossed ₹8.1 crore in India within nine days and achieved a global collection of ₹8.85 crore during the same period.

In a prior interview with the news agency ANI, Khushi and Junaid discussed their collaborative experience on the film. Junaid humorously remarked, "I have one complaint about Khushi ji. As a professional actor myself, I always arrive on time, but she consistently shows up half an hour early. It can be quite frustrating. If the call time is 6 am, she is there by 5:30 am. She is always early, while I stick to the scheduled time."

In her defense, Khushi explained her tendency to arrive early. "I feel anxious even if I am just five seconds late. My hair stylist and make-up team often tell me not to arrive before them. This habit has been ingrained in me since childhood. I always come early, and sometimes the generators only start running after I arrive on set," she elaborated.

Loveyapa review

The Hindustan Times' critique of the film stated, "The main actors put in considerable effort. Junaid consistently displays a deer-in-the-headlights look, while Khushi shines with her bright 120-watt smile. Although she has made significant progress since her role in The Archies, Junaid's performance appears as if the camera was rolling during his rehearsal. On-screen romance does not seem to come easily to him; however, this is their first major film appearance. There is definitely room for growth. Khushi, in particular, excels in conveying emotional scenes."
