Loveyapa box office collection day 2: Advait Chandan's Hindi adaptation of Pradeep Ranganathan's successful 2022 film Love Today premiered in theaters this past Friday. The movie, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, has garnered approximately ₹2.31 crore net in India to date.

The website indicates that the film debuted with a net collection of ₹1.15 crore and a gross collection of ₹1.35 crore in India. On its second day, it garnered approximately ₹1.16 crore net, bringing its cumulative total to about ₹2.31 crore net. The film recorded an occupancy rate of 6.09% for the morning screenings and 14.09% for the afternoon shows. Notably, it is encountering significant competition from Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar, which achieved a net collection of ₹2.75 crore on its opening day and ₹1.99 crore on its second day, resulting in a total of approximately ₹4.74 crore.

Aamir Khan has been vigorously supporting his son Junaid's theatrical debut, titled Loveyapa. Junaid previously made his OTT debut with Maharaja. In a conversation with ANI regarding the film, Aamir drew a comparison between Khushi and her late mother, Sridevi, stating, “I have seen the rough cut and found the film to be quite enjoyable. It is very entertaining. The narrative reflects how our lives have evolved with the advent of cellphones and the intriguing events that arise from this. All the actors have performed admirably. When I viewed the film and observed Khushi (Kapoor), I felt as though I was witnessing Sridevi. Her essence was palpable, and I could perceive it. I am an ardent admirer of Sridevi.”

The premiere of Loveyapa in Mumbai was a glamorous affair, featuring a host of celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rekha, Dharmendra, among others. Junaid's sister, Ira Khan, shared her thoughts on the film via social media, stating, “Junnu on the big screen!! (Partying face and smiling face with hearts emojis) If you knew Junaid personally, you’d realize just how good of an actor he is in this role! The entire cast has delivered an excellent performance.”
