'Lovely' Release Date Announced: Mathew Thomas-Starrer Set for Summer 2025 in 3D

Mathew Thomas is poised to feature in the forthcoming Malayalam film, titled Lovely. The producers have officially revealed that the film is scheduled for a summer release, specifically on April 4, 2025. Lovely is directed by Dileesh Karunakaran, previously recognized as Dileesh Nair. Here is everything you need to know regarding the film starring Mathew Thomas.

Mathew Thomas’ Lovely release date

Lovely, described as a fantasy comedy-drama, will star Mathew Thomas and is said to centre on a housefly. In conjunction with the announcement of its release date, the producers unveiled a poster for Lovely, showcasing a housefly against a vibrant neon pink backdrop. The accompanying caption stated, "Lovely begins its journey on April 4th. Arriving in 3D!"

Lovely cast

Lovely will feature Manoj K Jayan in a significant role alongside Mathew Thomas, with Radhika, known for her work in Appan, as well as KPAC Leela, Prashanth Murali, Ganga Meera, and Ashwathy Manoharan included in the cast.

The film is helmed by Dileesh Karunakaran, previously recognized as Dileesh Nair. Lovely signifies Dileesh’s return to directing after his debut film, Tamaar Padaar, released in 2014, which starred Baburaj and Chemban Vinod Jose in leading roles. Dileesh, in collaboration with Syam Pushkaran, also co-wrote the script for Aashiq Abu’s Salt N' Pepper.

In Lovely, Dileesh reunites with Aashiq Abu, who serves as the cinematographer for the project. Aashiq Abu previously worked as the cinematographer for Dileesh’s directorial venture, Rifle Club, which was released during Christmas 2024. Although Rifle Club was released first, it was Lovely that marked Aashiq Abu's debut as a cinematographer.

Mathew Thomas’ upcoming film

Mathew Thomas is set to appear in another forthcoming film titled Bromance, featuring Arjun Ashokan and Mahima Nambiar in leading roles. The cast also includes Shyam Mohan and Sangeet Pratap in significant parts, alongside Kalabhavan Shajon and Binu Pappu. Directed by Arun D Jose, Bromance is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025. Notably, Arun previously directed Jo and Jo, which starred Mathew Thomas and Nikhila Vimal.
