Fans will have to wait until March 2026 for the much-anticipated historical drama Love & War by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which is a big blow for the Bollywood film scene. This update first came from Bollywood Hungama, citing production delays as the reason.

The film is now set to debut on August 14, 2026, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Kartik Aaryan's newly announced movie Naagzilla is also generating a lot of buzz, and with the updated release date, Love & War will be going head-to-head with it. As per the entertainment site, Naagzilla is dropping on the same day.

Bhediya 2 pushed back

So, the release schedule is getting a shake-up. The highly awaited horror-comedy sequel Bhediya 2, featuring Varun Dhawan (check out Badlapur), is now pushed back to a later date instead of launching alongside Love & War and Naagzilla next year. An insider told the entertainment outlet that Bhediya 2 is facing a delay. Producer Dinesh Vijan (don't miss Cocktail) and his team at Maddock Films are already looking at new release dates. The insider mentioned that if all three big films had dropped on the same day, it would have caused major screen-sharing issues. Now, with Bhediya 2's delay, Love & War and Naagzilla can share their release date. Both films are heavyweights with star-studded casts and come from different genres, so they’re sure to draw in audiences and get them to hit the theaters.

Kiara Advani's Shakti Shalini was originally supposed to hit theaters on December 31, 2025, but it's been pushed back. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Dharma Productions, Naagzilla promises to bring a fresh story to audiences.
