Disney+ Hotstar has revealed its first Malayalam web series for 2025, titled Love Under Construction, starring Neeraj Madhav, Gouri G Kishan, and Aju Varghese. While the exact release date hasn't been officially confirmed, the series is expected to premiere in February 2025. Directed by Vishnu G Raghav, who previously helmed Vaashi starring Tovino Thomas and Keerthy Suresh, the rom-com centres around the construction of a house. Vaashi is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
Love Under Construction: When and where to watch the Malayalam web series?
The announcement of Love Under Construction was made by the streaming platform on January 22, shortly after it was confirmed that Mohanlal’s Thudarum would not be released on January 30. While it might appear that the two announcements are unrelated, they actually share a connection—Love Under Construction is also produced by M Renjith, who is backing Thudarum. Although the exact release date for Love Under Construction is still pending, the series will be available as part of Hotstar Specials in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi.
Aju Varghese’s third Malayalam web series
Love Under Construction will mark Aju Varghese’s third Disney+ Hotstar web series, following his roles in Kerala Crime Files and Perilloor Premier League, both of which were released on the platform last year. The actor is also expected to return for the second season of Ahammed Khabeer’s Kerala Crime Files, which could premiere later this year. Meanwhile, Disney+ Hotstar continues to lead the charge in Malayalam web series production. Their previous series 1000 Babies garnered positive reviews, and the platform is set to release Nivin Pauly’s Pharma and Jeethu Joseph’s Secret Stories: Roslin in 2025.
