It was at the Bigg Boss 16 house that Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia was offered her first Bollywood film. Ektaa Kapoor and Dibakar Banerjee roped in the actress for their film Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2. However, audiences were rather surprised when Nimrit was nowhere to be seen in the film. All this while, the actress remained mum about her exit from LSD 2. However, Nimrit has finally broken her silence on quitting the Ektaa Kapoor-backed movie.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia on quitting Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia spoke about her exit from Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 for the first time. The actress told the publication that after coming out of Bigg Boss 16, she needed some time for herself. Nimrit stated that it took a lot of courage for her to identify that she wanted to be better equipped while entering a film set. 

"It wasn’t an easy decision to make, as it was the moment everyone was waiting for. But I wouldn’t have been able to be the best version of me in it, in terms of how I look as well as where my head space was at," she said.

Talking about her disassociation with the LSD 2 team, the actress added it ended on a mutual and coridal note. Nimrit revealed that she wasn't asked any questions. "Everyone associated with that project was nothing but amazing. It was very smooth," added Ahluwalia.

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia joins Khatron Ke Khiladi 14

While LSD 2 didn't materialise for Nimrit, the actress is all set to embark on a new reality show journey. She has joined the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 squad. The stunt-based reality show will be hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty. She will be seen alongside Shalin Bhanot, Abhishek Kumar, Aditi Sharma, Asim Riaz, Sumona Chakravarti and several others on KKK 14.

Once her Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 stint ends, the actress will start working on her first Bollywood film. Nimrit confirmed to HT that she will begin shooting for the film in September 2024.
